The history of the house

Villa JC Stevens tells the story of Tre Kronor, Sweden's America's Cup challenger, which was planned and designed here in 1992. Today, the villa pays tribute to John Cox Stevens, the American yachtsman whose yacht America gave the world's most prestigious sailing competition its name after winning the Hundred Guineas Cup in 1851.

It would be nearly 150 years before another nation claimed the trophy from the Americans. Each room in the villa is named after a winning America's Cup yacht, celebrating the rich history of the competition.

Our beautiful villa on Stenungsön comfortably accommodates families, groups of friends, and conference groups looking for privacy, comfort, and an exclusive setting.
